I am the Alkek Library Art & Design Librarian for Texas State University - San Marcos. As the Librarian Liaison to the School of Art & Design, I select art & design resources for the library's collection.  I also offer individual research help by appointment or for any faculty who want to bring their classes in to see what art & design related resources the library has to offer.

I started a graphic novel collection at Alkek Library in the fall of 2012 and it has been very popular. I wanted to start the Graphic Novels SIG in ARLIS/NA to create an opportunity to meet other librarians and art professionals to learn and share information about graphic novels, their collections, and other similar types of collections such as zines.

To become a member of the ARLIS/NA Graphic Novels Special Interest Group, you can join ARLIS/NA . Once a member of ARLIS/NA then you can join the Graphic Novels SIG and attend our meetings as well as contribute to our blog.
